Grade 1
This beginner course is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of chess, providing a strong foundation for future growth. Ideal for those with little or no prior experience, the course covers essential topics such as board setup, piece movement, and basic rules. Through interactive lessons and practice games, students will learn:
- Understanding the Board and Pieces: Introduction to the chessboard, piece names, and basic movements.
- Rules of Play: Essential rules, including check, checkmate, castling, and en passant.
- Sportsmanship and Chess Etiquette: Emphasis on respectful play, focus, and confidence-building.

- Trainers assigned by Chess Grande may be subject to changes.
- There are no make-up lessons.
