Parent-Kids Chess Workshop
This workshop is about more than just learning chess—it’s about learning together. At Chess Grande, we believe a child’s growth in chess is supercharged when parents are involved—not just as spectators, but as partners in the journey.
That’s why we created a space where parents and children can sit side by side, explore the game, and build shared understanding that extends beyond the classroom.
Beginner Workshop (15 June, 9:00AM–12:00PM)
Perfect for: Families new to chess
What you’ll learn:
- How each piece moves and the basic mechanics of the game
- Common mistakes beginners make—and how to avoid them
- How to support good chess habits at home (without being a coach!)
- Fun ways to play and reinforce skills casually
The beginner session is relaxed, hands-on, and focused on creating a positive first encounter with chess—for both the child and the parent.
Advanced Workshop (22 June, 9:00AM–12:00PM)
Perfect for: Families of students already learning or competing
What you’ll learn:
- Key concepts your child is learning—and how to talk about them
- How to help your child prepare for tournaments or setbacks
- When to push, when to pause: guiding a healthy chess journey
- Tools and resources to use at home
The advanced session helps you become a better chess ally—not by becoming an expert, but by understanding how to support your child’s growth in the long term.
