Elementary Course
Building on foundational skills, the Elementary Chess Course is designed for students who are familiar with the basics and ready to deepen their understanding of chess strategy and tactics. This course introduces intermediate concepts that improve decision-making and positional play, helping students move from simple moves to thoughtful strategies. Key areas of focus include:
- Opening Strategies: Learning basic opening principles and common openings to establish a strong position early in the game.
- Tactical Motifs: Introduction to essential tactics, such as pins, forks, skewers, and discovered attacks, with exercises to apply them in games.
Endgame Development: Building on endgame basics with more advanced concepts like opposition, basic rook endgames, and the importance of king activity.

- Course fees paid are non-refundable. Pro-rating of course fees is NOT allowed.
- Trainers assigned by Chess Grande may be subject to changes.
- There are no make-up lessons.
- Chess Grande reserves the right to cancel a session and provide a full refund if the minimum enrollment is not met. Refunds will be issued three working days prior to the scheduled session
