How to Stop Blundering
How to Stop Blundering is a practical workshop designed for young chess players who struggle with making careless mistakes during games, either in competition or just in their games at home.
Instead of just telling kids to “be careful,” we teach them why blunders happen, from rushing moves and missing threats to losing focus under time pressure, and give them concrete tools to reduce those mistakes.
Through hands-on exercises, slow motion training games, calculation drills, and practical checklists, students will learn how to slow down, spot dangers, and play more solidly. By the end of the workshop, they’ll have a clear routine to help them think more carefully at the board and feel more confident in their games
Who is this for?
This workshop is for young chess players who already know how to play but keep losing games because of simple mistakes.
It’s ideal for kids who often hang pieces, miss their opponent’s threats, or rush their moves without thinking. It’s also great for players who feel frustrated because they know they can play better but keep losing to avoidable errors.
This is not for total beginners still learning the rules, but for players who want to become more solid, careful, and confident in their games.
