What age can students start chess lessons?
Students can start once they are ready to follow simple instructions, recognise patterns, and enjoy short thinking games. Chess Grande guides beginners at an age-appropriate pace and can recommend the best starting point after an assessment.
Do beginners need prior chess experience?
No. Beginner chess lessons can start from the rules of the game, basic checkmates, board vision, and good thinking habits. Students with experience can be placed into a more suitable level.
